OSHA OUTREACH TRAINING PROGRAMS:

10-HOUR OSHA CERTIFICATE

In an effort to prevent accidents, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recommends the 10-hour Outreach Training Program for employees in the electric power industry. This program is designed to increase general awareness, helping workers recognize and prevent safety and health hazards on the worksite, as well as teach workers about their rights.

Authorized OSHA programs are designed for the construction and general industries, with some mandatory courses and some electives.  Following OSHA’s requirements, EITI also includes a focus on the safety issues in the electric power industry.
